Assist Personal Activities

First Light Care Services are registered with NDIS to assist and/or supervise various personal activities of daily life of participants who require support in these activities. The level of assistance you need will be identified in your NDIS plan. This support can be provided for participants in supported accommodation or for participants living in their own homes.

Our goal is to provide the support you need to live the way you choose. We do this by customising your care so that you can live as independently as possible. It may be that you need help to get ready for the day or assistance with eating or drinking. We can also assist with getting you to appointments. This includes social, recreational, educational, and medical appointments.

Assistance with Daily Personal Activities we provide include, but not limited to the following:

• personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming;
• toileting, bladder and bowel management
• eating and drinking;
• attending appointments;
• use of aids and appliances, hearing and communication devices;
• mobility and transferring, for example moving in and out of bed and on or off the toilet.

We provide support for Daily Personal Activities across a variety of environments. For example, we provide support for a participant whilst in their own home. In addition, we also provide support when participants are undertaking social, recreational, education or employment activities or even when taking holidays away from home. We also provide similar support for participants living in supported accommodation.
